Framed at the Firelabs!

21 Nov 2019 4:56 PM | Deleted user

Sometimes it feels like the perfect picture frame can be impossible to find. You need on in just the right size, just the right color, and just the right style. Custom framing can be expensive, too. Often, you could end up spending more on the frame than you did on the original artwork. But the Roswell Firelabs Makerspace has a solution! Introducing the Handcrafted Wood Frame class!

This two-part class will meet for the first time on Saturday, November 23 at 1 PM and then again on November 30 at the same time. These two-hour sessions will equip you with the woodshop training and knowledge of how to build your own custom picture frames. How? By building one yourself! Class participants will build and take home a 12-inch by 24-inch poplar frame.

Member pricing for this class is $45, while non-members may attend for $60. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required and all participants must be 18 years of age or older. Hair should be worn up or pulled back. This class will be taking place in the woodworking area, so please be advised that all safety guidelines apply.

Sign up quick! The spaces for this class are going fast!
