Firelabs Holiday Wish List

18 Dec 2019 9:10 AM | Deleted user

It's the most wonderful time of the year, as the song goes! The Roswell Firelabs would like to offer thanks to everyone who has joined in and helped to make this first year so spectacular. So much has been accomplished and we couldn't have done it without you all. Thank you so, so much!

Let's keep the ball rolling in 2020! The Firelabs has big plans on how to continue growing the space and giving everyone as great an experience as we possibly can. In order to do this, our SIG leaders have put together some items that they think will really help. Items range from just a few dollars to a couple hundred, so there's something to fit any budget!

Roswell Firelabs Holiday Wish List

Swiffer Sweeper - High Priority

This handy tool is to help better clean our restroom floors. Our current mop leaves too much water behind, leading to the retention of dirt. A Swiffer Sweeper will capture dirt and dry faster for a longer-lasting clean!

Extendable Duster

As some of you may have noticed, we have some pretty tall ceilings in our bay area. In order to clean the tracks for the doors and the various piping, we either need to climb a ladder or get our hands on something that can reach all the way up.

Brother RLX3817 Full Size Sewing Machine, White - High Priority

We are looking for FIVE of these affordable sewing machines for our sewing classes in the new year. They are great beginner machines and will more easily allow for uniformity when teaching the classes. Having so many on hand will also make it easier for members to use them for their own projects at the space as well. You can find the refurbished (and slightly cheaper) model here.

Heavy Duty Staple Remover

The Roswell Firelabs is in need of SEVEN upholstery grade stable removers so we can start running some reupholstery classes in 2020. These handy tools make removing old fabric so much easier!

Rig Blaster Digital Mode Radio Interface

A new interface for our HAM radio area. This area has been around since the start of the Firelabs and offers a niche experience for those interested in radio transmissions.

Hack Rf SDR Receiver/Transmitter

Though a lower priority than some of the other items on our list, this piece of equipment would still be a huge help to us!

Other Items:

Vinyl

Acrylic Paints

Large Black Trashbags

Drinks and Snacks for Kitchen Area

Home Depot/Lowes/Ace Hardware Gift Cards

Grocery Gift Cards

Craft Supply Gift Cards

Pottery Wheel(s)

Glass Scraps for Stained Glass Classes

Again, thanks so much to everyone who has helped make the Roswell Firelabs the amazing space that it is. Your generosity and enthusiasm is greatly appreciated. Though the Firelabs blog will be taking a break until the new year, we look forward to seeing you all again in 2020!
