02:00PM - 05:00PM:  MIG Project Class

In this class, we will make a pair of shelf brackets from raw materials. Students get to keep the shelf brackets! We will learn how to safely use the bandsaw, drill press, angle grinder, and MIG Welder. Students do not need any prior metalworking or welding experience. This class will NOT fully teach you how to weld, however, students will get a chance to experience MIG welding on their own project.

Be advised: Students must bring safety glasses, work gloves, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves. Cotton and leather clothing only (no polyester). If ALL attendees are not dressed appropriately the class will be rescheduled.

The class is taught by Paul Teal, who has been welding and selling steel balloon frames he designed.

Minimum Age: 13

Each class is individual in this series, you are not required to attend previous sessions nor are you missing anything by choosing any individual session.
