Roswell Firelabs provides storage areas for members, where they may keep project materials and partially completed works. Information and requirements for the use of this area are outlined below. Location: The work-in-progress area consists of the two sets of shelves located in Bay 1 of the woodshop, in between the metalworking and table saw areas. There is also a wire rack in the stained glass and ceramics room (for glass/ceramic projects only) Requirements: Project materials and unfinished projects may be stored for a limited time in the Work in Progress area. Each item, or each group of items placed in the storage area by a member must be labeled with the member’s name and the date. Unlabeled items will be handled the same as expired items described below. Time Limit: Project materials and work in progress may be stored in the designated area for no longer than two weeks. If you need more time than that to finish your project, then store the work and/or materials at your residence. Expired Items: Unlabeled items or Items stored for longer than two weeks will be “quarantined” by attaching a red sticker. Picture(s) of the quarantined items will be posted to the #general channel on Slack. If you leave projects in the space, it is highly recommended that you monitor Slack. The owner will be responsible for: 1. Recognizing that the item has been quarantined, and 2. Removing the item within seven days. Quarantined items that are not removed within seven days will be discarded and any usable project materials will be made available for general use. |
