02:00PM - 05:00PM: Metal Fabrication & MIG Welding Project
In this class, we will make a pair of shelf brackets from raw materials. Students get to keep the shelf brackets. We will learn how to safely use the bandsaw, drill press, angle grinder, and MIG Welder. Students do not need any prior metalworking or welding experience. Be advised: Students must bring safety glasses, work gloves, closed-toe shoes, long pants, long sleeves, and cotton and leather clothing only (no polyester) or the class will be rescheduled.
