Who We AreRoswell Firelabs is a member-run makerspace built inside a converted Roswell fire station — 4,200 square feet of shared shop space where people teach each other how to build, fix, and make things by hand. Members work across woodworking, metalworking and welding, laser cutting and 3D printing, stained glass, leatherworking, and more, using tools and machines most people don't have room for (or the budget to buy) on their own. Firelabs is run entirely by its members. There's no paid staff — the board, the shop area coordinators, and the people teaching classes and hosting Monday-night tours are all volunteers who show up because they want the space to work for everyone else, too. The organization itself, Atlanta Maker Alliance, Inc., is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and membership dues go back into keeping the shop running and the tools in good repair. More than anything, Firelabs is a community: people building their own projects, teaching what they know, and picking up new skills alongside neighbors they'd never have met otherwise. Curious? CommunityRoswell Firelabs supports our local community, from manufacturing low-cost protective equipment during Covid to making high-quality wooden tables for Habitat for Humanity.
