02:00PM - 04:00PM:  Introduction to Welding Safety

This is a CLASSROOM ONLY introduction to the principles of welding safety. Stick, MIG, TIG, and Oxyacetylene welding methods are covered. No actual welding will take place, so you do not need to wear protective gear other than closed-toe shoes and long pants.

This class is recommended but not required before taking more “hands-on” welding classes.

The class is taught by Paul Teal. Paul set up a small metal shop himself and he makes balloon frames using MIG and TIG welding.

Minimum Age: 13

Each class is individual in this series, you are not required to attend previous sessions nor are you missing anything by choosing any individual session.
