This month, we are reading: North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell

Published in 1855. It interweaves a love story with a set during the upheaval of the Industrial Revolution in Britain. Gaskell knew Charles Dickens who helped to publish her books, and was a friend and biographer of Charlotte Bronte.
